  1. Increase public awareness of, and funding for, programs that assist senior adults with
    home repairs and upkeep.
  2. Increase availability of volunteers to assist seniors with yard work and home
    maintenance needs.
  3. Increase public awareness of property tax exemption and mortgage programs.
  4. Explore the creation of innovative programs for seniors who are “overhoused” and
    having difficulty meeting expenses.
    Renters  
  1. Expand rental housing opportunities for senior adults with emphasis on building new
    units of affordable housing to meet anticipated demand due to population growth
  2. Examine development/planning/regulatory initiatives to increase housing affordability
    and type.
  3. Promote public understanding of available housing options.
  4. Establish innovative partnerships and programs that diminish income barriers to
    quality housing at all levels.
