Increase the number of seniors who have access to, and participate in, physical activity programs.
Explore the possibility of developing additional senior centers in Raleigh and outlying

Health Promotion: Nutrition
Expand the current Wake County elderly nutrition program to better meet the needs of at-risk adults being served.
Identify additional programs/services that would help assure that senior adults have adequate food supplies and access to hot nutritious meals.
Health Promotion: Influenza and Pneumonia Immunizations
Increase rates of influenza and pneumonococcal immunizations among seniors.
Dementia Care
Develop capacity for crisis intervention, in both community and hospital settings, to stabilize persons with dementia/Alzheimer’s Disease.
Increase public awareness of the need to separate persons with Alzheimer’s Disease from persons with mental illness in care settings.
Improve care of persons with dementia/Alzheimer’s disease through caregiver education.
